Euroderm foam plus sacral

Multilayered hydrocellular shaped polyurethane foam with adhesive border combining the features of Euroderm foam with the ease of an anatomical design well suited for the sacral area.

Foam dressing consisting of an hypoallergenic semi-permeable adhesive polyurethane top layer and of a soft highly absorbent shaped foam pad.

The adhesive polyurethane top layer acts as barrier against external contaminations and fluids, therefore making Euroderm foam plus sacral well suited for wounds of the sacral area where a waterproof covering is recommended.

The anatomical design prevents accidental removals of the dressing caused by friction’ strengths and provides superior fluid management for a longer period of time. This minimized discomfort for the patient and results more cost effective.

The thickness of the foam ensures a cushioning effect. Euroderm foam plus sacral reduces pressure over the sacral area, thereby reducing friction and sheer stresses and giving excellent patient comfort and protection.

Euroderm foam plus sacral can be used as a secondary dressing in combination with cavitary dressing (gauzes or alginates – Eurosorb Roll) and for the treatment of necrotic or fibrinous wounds it is advisable to use it in combination with Hydromed gel.

The dressing can stay in place for up to 5 days; anyhow a frequent inspection of the wound is recommended.

The frequency of change results from the clinical conditions, the type of wound and the quantity of exudates.
